This Golden Oak looking floor is a classic floor which probably makes up 90% of all the sales of hardwood flooring throughout the UK. With the colour variation and grain structure its very forgiving to pitting and superficial scratching which is bound to happen over time. The oak has been given three coats of UV oil on the factory production line. when we mention UV Oil, this means that after each coat of oil, the boards are dried by Ultraviolet lights as they pass along the oiling line. The same look can be created on-site to an unfinished board by applying Hardwax oils with a brush and roller. The beauty of this floor is that it is relatively simple to carry out remedial works to damage as you are able to sand out a bad scratch and re-oil to achieve a match. As with all wooden floors, this floor will change colour over time and normally darken and tone in. You will see light and dark colouring between boards and even within a single board as a natural characteristic.  A floor supplied new out of the pack will not be the same as our showroom displays as they may have aged over a few years and mellowed down.
